Last week end i went out fishing in the Red River side mountain,so we had to go through some pretty bad off road with mud, holes etc, etc,,
Two days later, that squeeky noise is comin from passenger back leafe.
I had a complete frame replacement last February, including new leafes on that 4x4, I also had new Bilstein 5100 installed about a month ago on it,so Man i have to fixe this noise..
I had the truck cleaned with a water pressure, but i noticed last night when checking it out that yes sand is still present at places, and the weather has been in the 32 degrees these last two days about,so if there is dirt a bit in there ,does nt help i guess.
I will start with cleaning it again then though it seems to come from that joint that holds those leafes!?

Just had the frame and leaf replacement and the squeak is killing me. Might have to take it back to Toyota. Wd40 did nothing.

The name means Water Displacement, 40th try.

It's good for many things. Lubrication isn't really one of them. Even if it makes something under friction 'slippery' right away, it won't for an extended period.

My favorite uses for it are to clean up/dissolve old grease when repacking small bearings like on bikes or fishing gear. Also to remove tree sap and other sticky things from my vehicles.

I know what it means. It stops doors hinges from squeaking so I thought I'd give it a try as well. It didn't work. Will be picking up some silicone spray and applying monthly before going to extreme measures.

Noise now comes and goes .
Also a friend of mind has a 2015 TRD Off Road, and he has the very same problem, everytime that mud or dust gets in there, those leafs makes that dam noise the next day once it is dry.
When i go to those car wash and use that power pressure,it does go away for a few days, but i know that this annoyng noise will be back shortly.
Too bad that Toyota did nt take care of that, surely they must have lots of client complaining about it.
Strangely last year before they changed my frame and leafs ,there was no such noise.

Try white lithium grease. Worked for me, going on 7 months , no squeak. Or you could always do the rubber mod that places a piece of rubber between the leafs, but that is more complicated and time consuming.
