    I have a 98 Toyota Tacoma 4wd.
Replaced the clutch master cylinder two days ago. It was bled properly, working great, and then it completely lost pressure when I drove it for about 5 miles. Bled it again, had a little bit of slack, about half inch, would lose pressure every 5-6 times I used the clutch but immediately regained pressured when I pulled the clutch back up. Then completely lost pressure and use of clutch yesterday. attempted to bleed again, wasn't working, checked the brake fluid, and was empty. Refilled the brake fluid, bled it again, haven't had an issue with the clutch since. But I've checked the fluid twice since then and needed to add more fluid. Noticed today my clutch pedal was slippery and looked like there was fluid leaking from the master cylinder into the cab of the truck.

I assumed that the clutch just wasn't bled enough and there were air bubbles still in the line. But now am not so sure.

Any idea what the issue is? Because I'm at a loss.

This would be the second time I take it back. It was initially replaced in December by my dad and his friend and the adjustment bolt didn't get tightened properly and the bushing broke. Could it be any other issue besides a bad part?

your clutch should have come with a new reservoir preinstalled onto the cylinder. that should NOT leak. nor should the front seal of the push rod inside the cylinder. nothing should ever leak. you should never see brake fluid coming out of these places.
