    Not my cup of tea but if you are putting an optic on an AK I guess that would work.
    I am an iron site AK guy myself.

    Yeah but how well will any optic on that hold a zero? The dust cover on the ak isn't exactly tight fitting, plus considering how much variation there is on ak's...

    ^ Apparently they've accounted for this in the design:

    Field stripping capability is preserved with the quick release cam lock mechanism that precisely returns to zero, yet is so simple to operate.
    ...
    The included cam lock release button replaces the standard release button and is installed to the return spring.
