Whats up tacoma world, I’m researching on which led bulb is the best for my 2016 tacoma TRD off road fog lights. Any idea on which brand is the best and the cheapest place to purchase? There’s a ton online and I’m overwhelmed and don’t know where the best place to look is. Thanks in advance

The baja designs sports aren't street legal. I have them (amber sports with wide cornering lenses) and I use them sparingly. The first time I used them on the road and a car passed me in the other direction, I could clearly see the other driver's face all lit in yellow. That being said... I really like them and wouldn't want another kind.

They are probably at the top of the price range of available options too.

crashnburn80 put together a very comprehensive look at the available legal options for foglights in the lighting forum. Poke around there in that forum, there's lots of information.

Here's that thread reviewing several different foglights: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-led-sae-j583-fog-pod-fog-light-review.554813/

There are no legitimate options. You cannot put an LED bulb in a reflector designed for halogen bulbs. Well, you can find one that will fit and will light up, but it will not work properly and will be both ineffective and unsafe, as well as illegal. Those fog lights are pretty much worthless anyway. I know it's tempting to do but all you're really doing is wasting your time and money. Check out the automotive lighting forum on the Candlepower forum: http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/forumdisplay.php?87-Automotive-Motorcycles-Included and start reading. Then go to Daniel Stern's site at http://www.danielsternlighting.com and read some more. Then, if you still feel the same way....Those are the best two no bullshit lighting sites online but they won't be popular with the Morimoto crowd.

Morimotos are good. Reasonably priced, reasonably bright.

True. They give off super bright light but very little is actually usable. And they suck on a wet road...... get an actual led fog light and not just the bulb

I have The @CaliRaisedLed and would buy their fog lights again despite having some issues with the bracket the fog light recessed into. If you buy them let me know and I’ll tell you what issue I had and what to do to fix it(it literally requires a paper clip). Good luck with what you decide
