I'm looking to replace my headlights and fog lights with LED bulbs on my 2016 tacoma but a thread on here spooked me about how LEDs caused the circuit to short and messed with the electronics on other parts of the vehicle. Someone mentioned that the 2016 was a CAN-bus system and that if I were to go the LED route that to make sure the LED bulbs are CAN-bus approved. Does anyone have anymore information about this? Whether its safe to go LED or not?

Note: I've replaced my interior lights with all LEDs about a year ago and I've had no issues yet.. A friend had gifted me with them so after reading everything on here I am unsure if they were CAN-bus approved or not.

I was looking at these items which show the bulbs and a CAN-bus driver sold separately so I'm wondering if I would have to get both items to satisfy my tacoma's requirements
