I've been running the hylux kit with a harness and love it. 4300k bulbs is the way to go.

You don't need the harness either if you upgrade the fuse. I opted for a harness (like 15 dollars) for piece of mind though.

Interesting. The OP of the hylux thread his fuse kept on popping with the hylux kit until he upgraded the fuse. Wonder what's the difference between the highlander and the tacoma's wiring. Does the highlander have optional OEM HIDs?

Ah, I thought you had both hylux kits on both cars. Yeah, the fast-start is probably why it draws more.

The XD kits are plug and play right?

The best second thing to use in fog is the GPS- saved me many times in not missing a turn or intersection. Not a lot without wipers to help with snow covered lights in really cold conditions- it got much worse even with incandescent bulbs after they started putting the plastic bug shield over the lights.

I tried the LED lights and found that they "sprayed" light everywhere, and I lost forward vision.... I did not like them at all.

Went back to Halogen....!! More Watts than OEM though..!!

PS... Hyper Yellow fogs are great....!!

    A few minor things...
Ballast and igniters. There are plenty of places to hide them in 3rd gens, took me 15 mins to install.
