Nope you sound like a dick and an idiot obviously you didn't read the beginning of the post i actually didn't ask for any opinions on HID i asked for opinions on different brands of LED, I'm just responding to peoples comments because i believe in always trying to gain more knowledge.

I'm always interested in hearing different opinions, that why i post i mean at this point I'm pretty settled on LED but I'm open to be persuaded and hear more information if its good information. This is my first truck so I'm still kind of new to everything

Between the two you mentioned, I would go Morimoto.. Give TRS a call though, I would bet they would swing their Morimoto HID over thier LED setup.

Me personally, unless I'm retrofitting to a proper LED projector then they aren't even a consideration.

It just seems like its so much more work to run a HID over a LED. and i dont want to break the bank having to buy a whole new housing.

perception and reality aren't the same. The work involved is, perhaps, another 10 minutes running a relay (if applicable to your ballast needs) and bolting the ballasts to stock grounding points. Costs are negligible. Not including a couple of additional bulbs for playing around with colors, I spent around 100 for everything which is the same or less than I would have spent on an inferior LED package.

Hoppin on the wagon. HID is the way to go. LED is waste of time and money.

I still have stock halogen bulbs, aaand I've been in the same boat as Op. I've been reading and researching past few nights.... my conclusion, if LED then GTR Gen3-pretty much $200. Those are brighter than stock, better color, and as per Headlight Revolution might perform a bit better than stock halo. But were talking about $200.
If you find something for (as you mentioned) below $100, just because when looking at headlights they seem bright, even blinding, doesn't mean they will throw better and further than stock. So it might be $100 thag you basically throw away.
To me, HID could be an answer, at least for now. Kit that @Scooby24 and many others bought, is ~$100 or so. I think this is going to be my next purchase... or Morimoto... or Diode Dynamic... or Xenon Depo... Need more info, lol

    Good luck with your decision

Iv actually never heard of the GTR Gen-3. I have a friend who is running lighting darks and they were about 100 for both lows and fogs and there drop in LED and they have much better projection then our stocks and much brighter. Iv seen them in real life so i can at least confirm for that. I was looking at the kit he posted and it does seem to have some issues with it.

There are no issues with the kit. You just have to understand these quick ballasts warm up faster than most/any others on the market and as such pull more amps than our weak fuses can handle and so either have to be upped (not recommended) or use a relay harness to take the load away from them (recommended).

Following those expectations, not a single person I've heard from who's ordered the same kit has had a problem. Our night visibility is insanely good now.

Ok then. To be fair, I have not come across Lightning Dark LED, until now. If you feel that this is an answer, then... voila! That might even be an answer for my fog lamps... $50 way cheaper than $170 Morimoto Fog.
Do those Lightning Dark have cooling fans?

I don't remember now, after reading all about the low beam HID replacement... What do you use in your Fog lamps?
