Is there a plug and play interior dome LED that does NOT require a soldered resistor to make it work properly?

I just tried to move a very bright dome array from my 2000 to my 2002 and it is giving me that dim / only works when other lamps are actuated.

I'm not interested in soldering to make it work. Hopefully, by now, someone has figured this out at the manufacturer level?

    Thanks in advance.

Search for the "canbus" or "error free" leds. These come with resistors built in.

I got mine from O'reilly's for the LED dome light. Works great! Can't remember the brand though.

Shoot - now I remember - THIS is the one I have that works on my 2000 but not my 2002. I didn't get it from Wheelers - I got it from Low Range. Something changed in 2001 and this lamp does not work in the newer first gens.

I got a few from CARid.com. I dont recommend them as they are outrageous for mediocre at best products. The others I bought from DiodeDynamics.com

Is the dome light the same in both trucks? Just swap them and see if it works then. Or does the problem go further back?

I need CONFIRMATION that any of these suggestions will work in a 2002.

As I said, the one I got from Low Range worked super well / super bright in my 2000, but not my 2002. It is a well known issue. Bottom line - does someone know of a BRIGHT LED that will plug and play in a 2002?

Yes, I have swapped back and forth to verify its not something with the LED - its in the electric management system the 2001+ trucks have...
