I like my 20" Rigid behind it. Awesome light and hard to steal.

I would say a straight bar would be better flush mounted

Are there any mounts that work for behind the lower grille mounting on a second gen? I'd like to have mine a little more protected/hidden.

Here's the homemade mount I did for mounting my 30" bar in the lower bumper. Total cost for making mounts was around $30 including powder coat.

I wanted something that could be removed and didn't require drilling into the bumper support. I had two pieces of 1/4" flat bar cut and bent. I used a grinder to make some slots for the u-bolts to fit in so they wouldn't slide around. The brackets are mounted using u-bolts and I stuck some bicycle tube rubber in between to minimize vibrations.

I've had this setup on for a while and it hasn't budged an inch. It's really solid! I didn't want to spend a lot of money and I have fun making stuff myself so I got creative.

Don't have to per say, but it's way easier with it off. Some screws and then a bunch of push pins. Take the grille off first (2 screws and 2 plastic push pins).

Bought this 32" 18000 lumen 180 watt from Amazon. Mounted it to the bumper support with self tapping screws.

So if I got a 32" Light bar (which I plan to) and stuck it down there behind the valance, not flush, will I be able to use the mounts and screws that come with the light bar to install it? And will I have room to put the lock washer and nut underneath?

I used self tapping screws to mount the brackets included with bar to crash cans then loc-tight hex bolts to light bar. Has been holding up fine with regular driving and occasional off-road. Lock washers between screws/mount may secure it further.
