Nice. Well that's the way to go. You aren't gonna get ALL your lighting needs from a single source. It's all about the combination and placement/angles to achieve what you want. I had no idea I would come out with what I got from the bars I installed and get just what I was hoping for. Hate to say it again but. I'm extremely pleased with my setup. Huuuuuuge amount of flood and spill light. And not really any hot spots/dim areas. Just a shit ton of light all over. Pretty good distance but certainly not as good as the osrams I'm sure. Almost impossible to capture it on camera. Best I could do was like I posted above on post #43. Not really a need for side lighting. If I decide later on I may run some floods on the sides. Like rock lights or something mounted under the rocker panels maybe. Idk.

I have 6w LED bars in my mirrors. I LOVE them. The side fill is amazing. and on trails, they are by far my favorite lights. You never think you need the side filled till it is. Then its like, why the hell didn't i do this sooner haha Its like having light right where you would look before turning. Which no light out in front ever REALLY gets.

But yea. I mean, i loved my 500 hellas on the roof. Seriously. Holy fuck. major light just...everywhere. Was awesome. But i don't have the roof rack setup anymore so, gotta do something else. I'll never get rid of the LF240s either. Just damn good lights. Plus in wyo, i use them as my high beams. haha

but yea. Pretty much you'll always be happy with whatever, since its better then what you started with.

Yup. I got two 8" flood bars that were in my turn signal spots. And the way the valence is curved there, they made great side lighting. Currently have them out as I had to replace my valence a while back and are a pita to install there. I immediately noticed I lost a lot of side lighting. Can't wait to put them back in. If you decide to change those out in your mirror, which if I'm thinking you are the one, it might not be an option as you retrofitted them inside yeah? Probably bigger by a bit I'm sure, but may still fit .. But the 8" vision x evo prime clones in flood are pretty awesome. Probably a lot more light than those 6 watters I'm sure. 40watt, single row 10watt leds. Can find a link for em if u want..

    no way they will fit.

    The 6'' barely fit.

But they work better they where yours is im sure. A) they are angled out more and B) they are further back from the front of the truck. Work awesome.

Would be nice to put something bigger in. But they have to be narrow and not think. Most are 3'' think and these are barely 1'' think and 1'' tall. So yea. Plus i like that they aren't super strong as they don't make it annoying reflecting off trees and such on trails.

Ha yeah those ARE small. Mine are definitely way too thick. I was just thinking of the height I guess and forgot about the depth. tho! Looks good mang. I like it. Can't wait to see your setup after the 42" goes up. As well as some more output shots of everything. Heh. Once I ever get mine finished and fully set up how I want it, we'll have to :duel: with some output shots, heh.

Been browsing fleabay.. Found a couple new designs..

4d bar with led "halos" installed.
    http://pages.ebay.com/motors/link/?nav=item.view&id=321979150855&alt=web

And there is in fact a new 5D optics, unlike the previous 5D I listed before that had the low and high beam modes. This seems to be the true 5D design. Not sure I'd call the other one the same. But this shows some good pictures describing the differences between 4D and 5D. Which seems to be not much except a LITTLE bit wider spread. Still seems like a spot to me. But looks bright as hell. Uses 7watt crees!! 560watts. 56,000 claimed lumens..

Gonna have to browse some more. See what else I can find. 5D? What's next, a 360D with lights all around? Heh. The 5D's do look pretty nice though. Just not sure I like the pattern still. Wish I had the extra cash to just purchase a few of these just for testing purposes. But I think I may make a write-up about all the different types and optic designs. Maybe get a sticky going to help others with what all is available and understanding what the differences are to help in their purchase.

And yet another video to help you guys see the differences of optics as well as led chip types, and decide on what you want. This guy is pretty legit and does some nice reviews/comparisons!

$100 30inch Ebay/Amazon 4D Phillips 5W LED chips rated 300W. Self tapping screw straight into crash cans with supplied mounts. May also need to aim higher? Running Phillips Ultinon LEDS for HL/Fog. Will be adding single row 30inch right above plate behind grill and 7inch HIDs near side mirors.
