Gotta tell you - those "ditch lights" are starting to look very tempting. I am tempted to tie them into my end lights on my light bar -- I have each side on a toggle from the cab and think when I hit a side - a ditch light and alley light might be kinda cool.......

    (Gears turning).......

Darn you guys and your good ideas!!!

Yeah idk about those.. looks like a little jarring will make them come loose. Not to mention the damage to the body panel

Ha yeah I plan to pair these with a 30" bar on the front when I get a bumper. The 30" will light in front of me and I'll turn these little ones out to the sides a bit

I wanna get vision x's 4.5" round light cannons. 25watt single led, 1000' range. But they are expensive. Like over $400 for a pair. Haven't seen any knock off versions on eBay yet. Idk, I need to stop buying lights tho. Lol.

Lowes & Home Depot have a decent supply of stock metal for small projects(it is pricey). You should be able to find exactly what you need. Otherwise go to the bad side of town and find a welding/muffler shop..they will have plenty of scrapes laying around (probably for a small price)

Already tried at all those places. They suck. Don't have anything thick enough and its all too small.. Think the thickest they carry is 16 guage. I need something just a little thicker. Need an actual steel warehouse or fab shop i can rely on for future projrcts instead of running/calling around every time i need something. Ill just order online, cheap on ebay, I just didn't wanna pay/wait on shipping.

Has anyone done a "hidden" led bar by the receiver mount on the rear bumper? I don't want it to be seen but be able to be turned on at night or early morning when pulling up to the boat trailer etc. Thanks!

You could get some of rigids flush mount and cut out a square in your bumper. But won't be hidden, but it'll look clean. Or you could mount a couple ditch lights underneath the hitch or beside it, but back a bit, and put a mesh grille over it to help conceal it more. Not really any way to make it hidden I think..

im trying to think of a way. I know I could probably get like a 10-15" one and mount it somewhere under the bed. Im sure they are bright as all get out. Or have it mounted on the receiver brackets somehow.
