Ohhhh trust me man. You will love these lights, as has everyone else.

I ordered another pair for my fog light to replace the AuxBeam F16s

Did you have to convert all your lights to LED capacity or just pop LED bulbs in?

Got the new Hikari's in the low beams today. Went well and they are impressive . Posititioned the diodes so they sit at 3 and 9 o'clock. Wondering if the narrow tip of the bulb should be pointing upward or if it's possible to even try the opposite(pointing downward). Thought about it after buttoning every thing up and it got dark. They work great anyways.

    Here's the proof right here:

    New
Added the other set of Hikari Philips Lumileds to the High Beams to go along with the Hikari Philips Lumileds Low Beams and the Morimoto XB Fogs

First pic is no lights so you have a frame of reference. Just so you know how dark it is up at the house. Even with a full moon.

Second pic is just the Morimoto XB Fogs and it definitely looks like I might have to adjust them a little more as to me they look a little low. The base of the second tree on the right is approximately 60' away.

This next pic is the Fogs and the OEM DRLs. The DRLs really do a great job of supplementing the fogs.

This 4th pic is the Fogs, and the Low Beams, No DRLs. I think I need to adjust the low beams up a tad too. The DRLs do add some light.

This is the money shot. DRLs, Lows and newly installed High Beams on. Wow.

Not bad for $227.00 (after I sold my OEM fogs for $65). I am completely satisfied and up here in the country with our large deer population I feel much safer.

As you know I also installed Hikari License Plate Bulbs last weekend.

I have the LED Reverse Bulbs already and that is tomorrow.

Thanks to @Parker315 (this guy's a lighting mod freak) and the rest of you guys, @mrproduxn @ToyoDrew @Sedyn @Canadianguy91 @Big Dustin @Technique @IPNPULZ @jptheriot @CherokeeCajun @rlx02 @silasvirus82. I'm sure I am forgetting others that have not only helped me decide to go this route, but for helping others too! You've all really been a major influence and have been there with everyone all along. It's guys like you are that are the average Joe just like me willing to take a chance to make our trucks better and for little cost and little work. We don't care about spectrums, frequencies, temps, etc, and all we really care about is are the damn lights brighter than the OEM lights and do they do what we want them to do. That's the bottom line and I know for a fact that my lighting is 10x better than it use to be and it all because of you guys.

    Thank you again!

Didn't have to cut anything. I installed it using a 2nd gen light bar mounting bracket because they were half the price of the 3rd gen brackets. The light works really well and at $35 was worth taking a chance. I actually spayed it with my pressure washer at close range to see how water proof it is, no issues. The light is shallow in depth so it makes the install easier.

Wow, Rob! Excellent light review my friend. Very detailed and consistent. Once again showing how great those new Hikari Phillips are. Those Mirimotos look fantastic as well. I wish I could find a road near me that as dark as that for my next comparison.

I noticed you said you might need to adjust the headlights up a tad bit. I agree, because that’s what I did as well. Not to much though....what I did was pull up to a wall and turn the low beams on. Placed a piece of green painters tap right at the top of the cut off making sure it’s level. Then adjusted both headlights so that the new cut off passes that tape line and that should be plenty. Maybe about 1” I’d say. Good luck!

Anyway! Thanks for sharing and great job doing so

    Welcome Cameron!!

Which bulbs are you referring to, interior or exterior?

I guess regardless though all the bulbs are 100% plug and play except for the turn signals.

If your on a budget and want to stick a light bar in. Read my build thread from my signature. My setup is amazing and cost was very low. I posted a lot of that lighting info in this thread, but it’s back on page 50 something and 80 something lol

In case your on a mobile phone and the signature doesn’t show up. Here you go...

The best way is to pull up close to the wall approx one foot away and with the low beam on mark the cut of line with a piece of painters tape. Then pull the truck back approx 25' and your headlights cut off line should drop approx 2 inches.

Thank you Brett! I had a good mentor

Yea, since when I pull up on vehicles at red lights and the light is not riding up on the trunk of the car, I was just going to pull my car into that lane and pull up behind it and make the adjustment. That way I know for sure it's not too much. I think like you said, 1" maybe 2" but that would be max.

RuggyBuggy, I would do this at my house but my driveway starts to arc about there and the light beams just continue to rise.

Why I think doing the adjustment down in the flat lane with both vehicles on the same plane would be best. I could even make the adjustment and get in the car and pull it forward to be sure it's not to high and coming in. I mean though, that's what auto/manual dimming rear view mirrors are for. I'm more worried about blinding oncoming traffic. Right now as it stands, not a single flash.

I forgot to add these photos last night/this morning. These photos show how uniform the beam pattern is of the Hikari Low Beam and High Beam combined.

I had to adjust the camera settings to speed up the shutter just so that the actual light pattern could be seen. That is the second photo.

    20180331_211245.jpg

The reason it's so high is because the driveway is arcing or rolling off at this point. Pretty intense no?

    Here's the adjusted shot

    20180331_211303.jpg

Pretty damn even spread and pattern of you ask me. Especially when people say LEDs don't work in these projector housings. LOL

Looks like they work to me. Oh, and I am not skilled or confident enough to adjust the collars of the bulbs on the High Beams like some have done so these are just right out of the box and into the truck :D

    20180331_171708.jpg

Thanks again to everyone for helping me with this Mod.

I made my adjustment at a local Wal-Mart. I went behind the building and found a large wall on flat ground. I brought some painters tape and a long handle Philip's screwdriver for the adjustment. Took me about 5 min.
