    Update! I had one of the lock lights go out due to a connection so do be sure to solder the connections. Also very intrestred, has anyone else tryed this yet?

    Sorry for bringing this thread back from the dead, but I'm curious (and I did read the DIY, so I apologize for being so dense), what triggers the LED to go on or off? Is there a switch the lock activates on the LED circuit that makes it go on when the switch is the locked position.

    That question sounds so dumb, but I have no idea how did that. I would love to do this on 2005 4Runner.
