Works now! My doors weren't fully closed it turns out which somehow cancelled out my ability to lock the doors

Mine is not as clean, but I had gone too far to turn around so had to keep goin. Tip: go slow, step back from your trimming and drilling often to check how it fits or not

I think tapping into dimmer circuit would be better. on when doors unlocked off when locked. fade in and out too.

    Sub for this thread...

If OP is still around... where did you get the Plexiglass? Would JB Weld work to hold the LED in? Was thinking a bicolor LED setup, red when locked (triggered by a switch).

Lots of ideas churning because of this thread! :) :)

Just use an epoxy or hot glue. For me, jb is too permanent, if one goes out or you want another color, would have to remove jb. Dimmer circuit would be best, but I already had many other interior LEDs wired to my fuse tap that goes on with parking lights

im still very much around :D haha. I got the plexiglass from home depot they carry small sheets for like $2 more then enough to get the job done! And jb weld will work but clear silicon is best as it wont make it look discolored behind the plexiglass>:D

Yeah, if I redo it, I'm going to use silicone.

still need to do this.... i have the parts.. just need to tackle it

if i use the add-a-fuse feature and tap into the parking lights, how much power does my fuse need to be? I'll be running this and bed lights.

So the door lock LEDs and bed lights on that fuse tap? Well, you could add all the amps of each LED/LED strip and then convert to whatever the fuse are in, what is it watts? My brain is not thinking of it right now. Otherwise a number 2 or 3 watt/amp fuse should be fine. Just remember the original fuse goes over the original slot and the new fuse that goes to LEDs goes on the side slot

Edit: fuses are in amps I'm pretty sure. So convert whatever power requirements for all LEDs to amps
