i was wondering if having an LED left on over a long period of time without the truck running would do much for killing the batt. im thinking like a few days without running the truck.

nothing supper bright probably no more then a 1 watt LED.

    what do you guys think?

A 1 watt LED is a big LED. Maybe a day or two.

I just did a little math, I probably did it wrong, but if you figure an 85 Ah battery, (based on class), 10% eff, I somehow figured 84 hours, without the efficiency factored in. You'd never want to drain it that low, or you'd have nothing to start. I'd give you 3 days max draw.... and even then you're pushing it. A 1 watt LED is big man, what are you using a 1 watter for?

it wouldnt do hardly anything...a 1 watt LED draws like 10% of what one of your parking lights would. I have left my parking lights on over night before with no ill effects. I would guess that a single LED would last weeks...
