I see. I've just wondered how many accessory lights I could add that wouldn't be too much for the battery. Does it matter how many lights are added as long as the fuse is the correct amps?

 

Today I installed my LED rock lights... Sorry for the crappy phone pic... There was a lot of sunlight when I was done!

I used 4 meters of waterproof 5050 LED...

Remember, the wiring, the switches, the relay, connectors and any other components must also be able to handle the amps running through them. I haven't calculated it but I would imagine if all you ran were LEDs you'd be able to run a lot of LEDs off the stock battery but it really depends on the battery type. You can always run a dual battery set up too.

 

I check all the other components as well. Plus I run only LEDs. So I should be good with the stock battery. If I have anymore questions, at least I know what to read and who to ask now. Thanks!

Its a built from scratch... Those 5050LED stripes are pretty bright!

Where did you get the 4 meters? And did you cut and wire them yourself?

 

I'm from Mexico city, so I don't think it's going to be helpful if I say where I bought them...

But this is a similar one...

You just have to cut in the cutting line, solder the cable and seal it again! It's not difficult at all!

 

has anyone wired these into the dome light power wire going up the drivers/passenger piller? it would be nice to have them come on/turn off with the dome light... and also on a switch for rock lights.
