I think there is a post that somebody wired them for more LEDs in the interior or on the bed... Don't remember, let me find it!

Since I was asked in PM I'll just post it here for all to see.

The question was "how did I wire my rock lights."
I wired them in parallel like shown here:
    wiringlightsparalellandinseries2_0a5275d10924be40e86ea441dff1976ba929419b.gif

Here's my version of my wiring diagram.
I simply ran a wire with a 5A fuse to one post of a 20A switch, the other went ALL THE WAY around the truck and fed power to each light.
Each light was spliced into the power wire with a simple splice connector.
The ground wire for each light was attached to the frame at each light with an eyelet connector that used the same self tapping screw used to attach the light brackets to the frame. Run on sentence, much?

    wiring_b432e107df66ce63a89f95416e9fed38d7f899ff.jpg

The light brackets were simple |_ shaped brackets cut from some scrap 20 gauge sheet metal I had lying around. I cut it twice the length of the light and the same width as the light. Folded the bracket "hamburger" style to make the L shape. The bracket was attached to the frame with a single self tapping screw.
The lights were secured to the bracket with the 3M tape that come attached to each light.
    Pretty simple install.

Any other questions feel free to ask.

What did you use to stick them on? Or did they already have adhesive backing?

Well, yesterday I returned from a trip with a lot of water crossings and they held pretty good. Actually it is good that I reinforced them with the duct tape!

Didn't think that they will give that much light!!

Hey guys sorry to kinda hijack your thread here but i have a semi nooob question for ya. I just ordered a vision x rock light kit off Amazon and i was wondering, would it be possible to keep the master control in my engine bay if i have the space? and just work everything off the remote? i dont really want that big clear box in my cab, also i would rather hardwre then use the included cig lighter, can u just wire up right to the battery? what do you guys recommend? thanks-Tyler.

If I'm looking at it correctly, it looks like the remote runs off of radio frequency so you should be able to mount the box in the engine bay, I would test it first by putting it in the engine bay, temporarily wiring it to the battery and testing the remote in the cab.

Yes you can wire it directly to the battery but you would need an inline fuse and all that other stuff. Or you can do it by an Add-A-Fuse.

I did if maybe you are referring to mine.
    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I saw another guy on here do it with an led underbody kit. Put the two long ones under the truck for entry lights and the two short ones in the bed. I wired all into the dome light. So when I unlock the truck at night the lights under the truck turn on. Total about $40.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1355193800.427717.jpg
