Heya gang. I searched and really couldn't find and up to date info. Can anyone suggest a good led brake light bar for under the tailgate? Turn, and reverse (white) led is what I'm after. Kinda like this: [IMG]

I've had a number of different brands of LED bars under the tailgates of various trucks I've owned in the past. As much as I like the way they look and the added safety of having additional red lighting, everything I've tried has turned out to be junk in less than a year. It appears that nobody makes a durable product to fit that use - as many of them claim to. Sorry to break the bad news to you.

Has anyone had any luck with these. Some of them are pretty expensive. Does it make a difference? I have noticed that you don't see them much anymore.

There are a few members on here that used the Putco Bladelight. Seems decent quality, but I have not seen it first hand.
Most under tailgate brake lightbars I see have a few LED's out and it drives me nuts.
Another option is Baja designs RTL. A little thicker than most so may not fit right under the tailgate.

I'm thinking about doing a tailgate brake light since my Taco now wears a Softopper pretty much all the time, and I have no third brake light... I've done some searching and it doesn't seem this type of light is really that popular here.

Anyone have any good suggestions? Not sure now much I want to spend or what my limit is, but I don't want to break the bank. Amazon has several types. I don't really care for reverse lights or Knight Rider scanning signals. In fact, all I really care to have is extra brake lights. I do know from a few topics here I found that I'd need to go with a 48" bar, not a 60".
