Hey guys recently picked up a used leer on craigslist and it came with thule rails and rack. Ive done some research and figured out the leer 100RCC came with the reinforced roof and was wondering if mine had some type of reinforced roof since it came with the rails. Attached are a couple of pics of the inside of the roof of the shell. In the center its about an inch lower than on the sides near the rails. can anyone offer any insight as to whether or not my leer has the reinforced roof or if all the ones with the thule rails come like this? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

    Robert

My OPINION: no, the roof is not specially reinforced. But, copy the Leer serial number on the metal tag inside and phone the manufacturer, and they can tell you exactly what you have.
I self installed my Yakima rooftop clips, and I assume the shell is not especially made for the racks.

Here is the roof of my 100xq, ordered with roof rack. The reinforcement goes beyond the roof rack.

    Inside my Leer 100RCC.

All leers use a honeycomb aluminum panel in the roof for strength, but 100RCC has a different setup under the carpet/fiberglass for added strength.
