I put a set of these in my map lights when I bought the truck last year:
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0728DYR9H/

Maybe my eyes are just older now but I had to turn them off this year as it's dark when I head to work in the morning and the light is too bright. Any rec's for less lumens and sticking with LED? Everything I'm finding keeps showing 'ultra' 'super' 'mega' bright.

Still googling, will post results if I find something interesting and lower powered.

Not a horrible idea and I thought about that but I don't really like the yellow tint. I'm sure I tossed them in the parts bin so may try it to see how they look now
    Thanks!

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Funny; I just sat down from installing led license plate bulbs in my wife’s car and my truck. Can’t wait for it to get dark outside so I can check them out! As for the light maybe a little piece of opaque plastic or Scotch tape laid inside the lens.
