I don't think the torque app works with iPhone.

Best would be to pick up a used android smart phone. You don't need the phone turned on.

Uses differant app. But close to the torque app. The Carista has the highest reviews outside of Amazon ratings.

What #3 looked like BEFORE seafoam

Also one of the cyl that is missing

AFTER sea foam sucked in from the brake booster. That I now know was the WRONG vacuume line to use

I wanted to check the plug before I sucked the sea into the PCV line

Drove around the hood in 4x4L with trans in L. It did smoke but not that bad.

Moving on after 3 cans of sea

While the truck was warming up I hauled out the glove box and the plastic liner to look at the wires, someone was in here before (PO) as the plastic shield wire loom has been removed from one of the wires. Everything looked ok no signs of hack wiring IMG_3080.jpgIMG_3083.jpg

If you have an old android phone thats not activated with service. You can still use it for app. Also can make it a permanent mount inthe truck. :headbang::headbang:

Still waiting on my leak down tester and the cold and snow to stop. Started the silver lawn ornament and moved it on the street while I cleared away the snow. I think every light was on in the dash. Once the weather is better the injectors are coming out of this for a rebuild. Stay tuned :) IMG_3185.jpg

So you might be a red neck when you live in a subdivision and you have to clear the snow off your lawn to park your parts Tacoma

That's true. From the tidy lawns I've seen in Quebec, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia they might deport him to Northern Maine where he'll fit in better.

Still on rain, snow, cold, wind, mailman, delay

No leak down tester yet, I don't think this will tell me much about my problem but interested in the process and learning experience, and I can't say no to new tools.

I was thinking someone said that this was a system wide problem as shown by the condition of the all the plugs, so the theory of bad injectors in two cylinders causing it's other 4 friends to run rich might not be a good theory as all the plugs look like charred lumps of chicken.

I was doing some reading here

    http://www.customtacos.com/forum#/topics/111733?page=2

I think it's a different motor but the discussion about the two o2 sensors got me thinking more about my problem and if this is possible?

To eliminate the o2 sensor can I just unplug ?

    What's your thoughts ?

Let's take a few steps backwards.... go out to start the truck today as I needed to move it. I had to boost it, the truck will start run like crap then shut off back fire stumble but always shut off. Cleared the codes and pulled the again still the same one I have been fighting with all along. Decided to put a different set of plugs in and noticed on the drivers side bank of cylinders that two were soaked with fuel and one bone dry IMG_3272.jpgIMG_3269.jpg

Before I tear into this again as I will come to some sort of conclusion as what is going wrong with this truck I am going to wait for my leak down tester to show up and complete that test. I don't expect to learn anything that I don't know all ready but we will see. Then I will pull it into the yard where I can properly play with it without the whole neighbourhood watching me
