I only go to my dealer for parts so can't comment on that, but...

I like them because they always have fresh, out of the oven cookies.

This is what my cabin filter, and air filter looked like when I bought my 2010. This is on a truck I was told had been "completely serviced" before delivery.....right. Think it might have been sitting just a little while ?

While taking care of the paperwork on my recent purchase another salesman offered to transfer plates along with the other stuff they do and I swear he must have farted in my Tacoma while driving it up front cause when I got to it, it had lost some of it's new car smell. I'da canceled the deal and stormed outa there..... if I'da had another way home.

I do that frequently, but only when somebody buys a used Dodge or Chevy because my fart actually improves the smell !

Geez guys.....I am almost embarrassed to say this. My Toyo dealership is great. They treat me like a valued customer. Maybe it helps that my son is a Toyota ASE Master Tech....he does all my work.

My service department assistant manager gave my 84 year old great aunt about $650 in free service just because she's my family.

No complaints from me on my dealership, sales has been just as great.

Sales guy was great. Finance guy tried to trick me in to an extended warranty with a lower interest rate after I told him I NEVER buy them. I said give me the lower rate and no extended warranty. Oil change dudes left oil soaked rag on skid plate. Aired my tires to 29 psi when door tag clearly says 46. Ordered the wrong shock and did not check before taking old one off keeping me there 2 hours for nothing. They got the right shock and I spent another 2 hours even with appointment. I can change a rear shock in my driveway in 30 minutes.

where's the thread for the dumb customer stories lol....cause i can write a book with those.

all kidding aside, dealerships are like any other profession...you're gonna have good ones, great ones and the "not so much" ones. some of the stories in here though are just crazy to listen to...cant believe some dealership employess would stoop to such levels sometimes.

I got a pre-owned with 20K miles on it from an Audi / Acura dealership. The azz clown Taco dealers around the DC area are melting pot low to mid income vultures. The experience at a higher end dealership is night and day vs. the Kia level dealerships. I expect the service department will be no better:infantry:

My experience was mostly positive. The sales guy gave me a great deal up front and the finance guy didn't try to sell me on a single thing. The whole process took maybe 15 minutes once the deal was setup.
The only glitch was that some lot monkey made a mess of removing the previous dealership's sticker off the tailgate. They scuffed up the clearcoat slightly and put their sticker on crooked. The sales guy made them fix it (they tried anyway), but the clearcoat still has a few nicks on it. No biggie, but I still tossed their sticker for scuffing my paint. I probably won't be back anyway, since another dealer is 3 miles form my house.

    Do dents and scratches count?
When I had my first free oil change the lube tech made the classic mistake of forgetting his oil filter drain cup under the hood. I checked before I drove away and found the cup. Oil had already sprayed all over the place. Manager put three guys on cleaning and degreasing my engine compartment right away. They even dropped the skid plate to clean behind. He also gave me a free wash, vac and wax voucher.

Before my second oil change I lost a center cap for one of my wheels. While in for the oil change I asked the manager if he would trade me the voucher for a center cap. He said no problem.

So far I am very pleased with this dealer. First vehicle I have bought from them. Given my experience thus far I would buy from them again.

    I wanted an MT.
    I've bought two tacoma's....

2010 from Love Lexus Toyota in St. Albans, WV... I will never even call them again...sales guy lied to me about numerous things, service center was garbage...rude...condescending...just bad all around.

2014 got my new truck from Dan Cava Toyota in White Hall, WV. Sales guy was straight forward, honest (as far as i can tell), and actually helpful. The lady who did the financing was really nice, explained things in detail...I had my old truck trade in value appraised at 4 more dealerships and all were thousands less than Dan Cava, plus the truck I bought was 3250.00 cheaper than the other dealerships with the same options. It was a great buying experience....

Bert Wolfe Toyota in Charleston, WV has the best service center I have ever seen...I know a guy who schedules work there personally, so whenever my truck needs something I call him, he schedules the work, and gets my truck into the top mechanic/technician they have on staff and he always gets me my truck back on time when they say it will be done. They did a rear axle bearing on my old truck and they did a great job...parts were very expensive but everything for a tacoma is expensive.

How long would it have taken you to do it in your driveway if you got the wrong part? Shit happens. I always love how people think that it should take a service department the exact same time it would take them to do something. Maybe when you brought your truck in all of the techs were working on other vehicles, and you had to *gasp* wait your turn to get your truck looked at. Even with an appointment, it does not mean that your truck will be driven into a tech's stall at that exact time. Appointments are based on approximation times for work, and sometimes it takes a little bit longer to get something done.

That being said having the tires inflated to the incorrect pressure, and having shop towels left on a skid plate are not acceptable.
