Hey, congrats on getting your new suspension on.. I know you've been after that for awhile now.

Anyway, my vote is for Mt. Hood. Seems pretty well located for most everyone on this thread to get to.. and the snow is all but gone down in Govt. Camp meaning lots of terrific backroad drives... like Badger Lake. Oh man, this is one awesome drive!! Check it out -->

I can assure you I've seen plenty of 2WD pickups do it with no problems. All that is required is some decent traction on your tires and a minimal lift for that extra inch or so of ground clearance (mainly for the last 6 miles which are pretty rocky). It's about a 50 mile trail ride and so scenic and remote and ends at a beautiful alpine glacier fed lake. Well worth it and a lot of fun getting there.

I'm good to go for Saturday (tomorrow) or Sunday this weekend. We can meet up in Govt. Camp in front of the Huckleberry Inn, as about 9am? Lots of parking and easy to find (after all the town only has 1 road, haha).

    Who's in on this?

Hmm, I think I've found a new best friend. ;) I have company coming, otherwise that would have been fun.

They gated the road I used to drive on in high school up in Mill City. It wasn't a very tough road at all, but it's very sad that I waited this long to get a truck of my own and I can never take it on the roads I grew up with.
