Picked up an Alucab table (used) from a local expedition portal member and installed in my canopy with Alucab slide brackets.

Installing the hex nuts in the tracks was challenging, admittedly took longer than it should have due to the tight tolerances & thick powder coat.

Expensive but such a simple solution to save space and weight. Let’s see if I use it enough to justify the impulse buy. :bananadead:

I use mine all of the time. I think you'll like it. It is ridiculously practical IMO.

Been looking to build a storage shelf up top inside my canopy to store a camp table and chairs.

Are you able to post some close ups how the Alucab table setup mounts?

I have mine mounted on the underside of my Canopy Camper.

I do not hear any rattling routinely.

I do occasionally hear it when I have my windows down and I am traveling at just the right speed over the right type of roadway.

I never hear it with my windows up.

All in all, I would not let the thought of potential rattles keep me from having the table, as it is simply too useful of a tool.

I haven’t moved the truck since install- I was a little concerned so I used some felt tape I had on the metal to metal contact point where the table mounts to the friction/retaining pin set up. Also put some over the bolt heads. The mount has some indoor/outdoor carpet material adhered to it from alucab.

will pull the table and get a few pictures for you this evening of the mounts and with the table in it. It looks like they have changed the design slightly over the years from a solid c channel to a partial to allow more articulation of the table when sliding/tilting it out from looking at others.

Balls of steel hah this actually helps a ton. We’re you able to run the wires to the factory loom on the side like the light?

Well, if you are sitting around wondering how many 285/75/17’s you can cram in the back of your SB Alu-Cab Contour… it’s 5. Five.

I just took a look and I ran the wires through the "channel" in the roof that runs left to right that Alucab used for the overhead light. From there it runs out the side of the interior to the exterior just above the fabric and I routed it down the inside edge of the lid on the little channel that the lift struts bolt too. Up near the front of the lid a drilled a hole into the wiring channel that's behind those velcro on fabric covers inside and sealed the cable entrance with one of the cable gland style connectors. Because it's tucked up by the hinge area it almost never sees any exposure and has worked great.

It's a rack that I put together with off the shelf parts from an extruded aluminum company that is a clone of 80/20.

If your interested I could post a parts list and links.

I finally had the opportunity to see how bright, and how effective, my work/scene lighting is.

Camper area lighting, at full brightness. The camera caught more light off of the lights themselves, than my own eye did.

    I like it.

I’m digging how this thing looks more and more after adding my lift and tires. I am considering getting my friend to fab some sort of spare tire caddy to mount my 285/75/17 inside with tire facing front to back to maintain some what rear-window vision I have left. Hahaha.IMG_1950.jpgIMG_1951.jpgIMG_1952.jpg

Looks solid. Having the same issue with my similar setup. Am thinking of going to a rear view mirror back up camera to be able to see again.
