    Hey Matt,
Where did you get those lights? I'm also in Oregon.

    Thanks!

More love from Oregon. Cheap and dirty single row 6 inch bars mounted under the bumper.

there is a reverse light mod where you place a higher wattage halogen bulb and leads into the stock bulb base

These guys. If you look under the bumper, the panels are held together by those plastic push screws. Take one of them out on each side, use the bolt from the light to take the plastic screws place. No drilling required.

I wired mine into a relay with the signal wire coming from the stock reverse lights.

It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.
I've got some flush mount rigids ready to go in, but I'm having second thoughts about cutting holes in my bumper..

I don't, and I'm in vegas right now on vacation. I'll see if I can get a couple pictures when I'm back in Oregon next week.

Is the relay needed or can you just tap into the wire?

You can tap it, and it'll likely be fine, but using a separate power source and relay to switch it on/off is a safer bet as the total current draw (original reverse lights + new reverse lights) will be spread between two wires, not one.

Will these draw more power then the stock bulb? I like the idea of the brighter light for sure, just don't want any electronic issues. I had read other threads on the front led switchover causing electrical grief.

Another option is to wire everything to a trailer plug, and just leave it in the outlet. Once in reverse they will turn on.

I have them on two trucks. Not very bright but a clean white light.
