Siamese cats seem to be that way for some reason.

We miss this sweet little girl. Until her, I was not a "cat person". She died way too young. RIP Claudia.

    Sorry man. That sucks.

Like you I was not a cat person (still don't consider myself one) but Sam meets me at the door every morning when I get off shift from the F.D. From that point forward he is either in my lap or sleeping right beside me.

Sorry for your loss. :( Cats are not just pets, they are a part of the family. It hurts losing them.

Thanks fellas. It was brutal on the whole family...especially my 2 daughters (7 and 13 years old). Been about 9 months now. Still hurts.

Here is my 14 yr. old, part Maine Coon, Bandit, AKA "Constipated Kitty". I've been around cats all my life and never knew a cat could get constipated until it nearly killed her. At first a high fiber diet helped her but after about a year the problem returned so the vet recommended going the opposite direction with a low fiber diet and a daily dose of mineral oil as a laxative. That really turned things around and she is doing much better now.

I got Bandit when the people renting the house next door moved out and left her behind. With all her fur I didn't realize she was almost starved until she slipped into the house one day when I left the door open a little too long. When I picked her up to put her outside all I could feel was bones. That was in 2004 and she has been my best buddy ever since.

She spends most nights on the pillow kind of wrapped around the top of my head.

My other cat, Hobbes, AKA "Fat Bob" or "The Devil Cat" showed up as a tiny kitten in my back yard about 3 years ago. After several days of him hiding under a bush and crying for momma I coaxed him out with food and he became a member of the household immediately.

I figured he would make a good companion and playmate for Bandit while I was away at work during the day.

    She has never forgiven me.

I didn't want to get another cat after my last 2 died within a month of each other. http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/off-topic-discussion/173736-lets-see-your-cats-no-not-converters-4.html#post3677391 I'm allergic to cats and I was constantly cleaning cat hair. But a friend had 4 house cats, 4 garage cats (so called because they were outdoor cats she fed in her garage, and she was feeding over 20 feral cats. She'd been spending $1000 a month on cat food. Her neighbors complain and threaten to take action so she trapped all the cats and had them fixed then found homes for them. This was one of the last cats, named her Wookie. I'd told her I'd take a barn cat, but she brought me this kitten. Couldn't leave it in the barn so we kept her in the house and 3 months later she was too rambunctious and after she was fixed we started letting her out. She loves to climb trees and she's a great mouser. We take her traveling in our 5th wheel and any time I go near the trailer she runs over and wants to get in.

So I'm swapping out a power supply on my computer. Our cat Merlin walks into the room, hops up on his window perch and proceeds to projectile vomit a giant hairball. He then walks over to me, checks out the computer and leaves the room. I'm pretty sure that cat is a reincarnated college frat boy.
