Lets see your most Unique Mod

Patience is a virtue. Just have to keep myself busy in the meantime w/projects so I don't lose my mind. I've been doing tons of stuff w/the Taco but just haven't taken the time to list it all. This one seemed unique enough to share.

 

Loving Ostrichsak's mount, but I took a different approach mounting my Mossberg 500 Cruiser under the rear seat in my double cab. Not as accessible, but out of sight from prying eyes.

Yeah, just taped it up and used some color matched spray paint. I ripped them off over a year ago tho.

Well, it's still a work in progress, but here's my version of an auxiliary fuse block. Once it's done I'll make a new thread with better, non-iphone, pictures.

 

Is that eight relay's ? I like the idea of relays controlling all accessories. The ribbon is the control circuit's?

 

Correct. There are eight fused relays controlled by a switch panel that will reside in the center console. I only have to run a single hot wire and ground for each accessory. The fuses are between the relays, but they're hard to see in the picture.

Well, I do like hosing out the engine bay and the exposed fuse/relay block wouldn't have allowed that.

Here's the switch panel that will hide in the center console. I sure hope the ribbon cable is long enough.

 

i see only one big problem with this . . . adding more then 8 accessories! The setup gives u no room for expansion! and what size relays are they? and where are u gonna mount fuses?

Correct, I'm limited to 8 eight accessories. I haven't seen anyone with an auxiliary fuse block with more than eight slots.

The fuses are already on the block. They're hard to see, but there is currently a thirty amp fuse for each relay. That's the way the company ships the unit so the relays should be capable of at least 30 amps.

 

Lots of people are running the Blue Seas 12 fuse block. Heres mine. Nice job on the box though. Never seen it done with relays.

 

I see said the blind man. I forgot that the blue seas were either a 6 or a 12. Well, we'll see if I can get by with only 8.
