So like many a fine Tacomaworld member, I decided to cheap out on my carrier bearing, and install a doorman bearning from rockauto... :( long story short, squeaking afer a few hundred, should have just spent the money up front. Some things OEM work better, some not. This is one that should just have been OEM. So a few questions about part numbers. I find 37230-0K030 which I believe should be for the 4x4 and 37230-0K40 which I believe is for the 2wd?? I think?? Both are on Amazon for about the lowest price I can find anywhere else, plus I have prime!! So just a questions for those with more knowledge than I, whats the difference? Thank you for your knowledge and information!!! Have a great night!!!

I'm subbed in here as I want to confirm for myself. Plenty of people will know this (not myself unfortunately), but you just might be out of luck with tonight's night owl crowd. I would recommend approximately a 10am bump for the best chance.

Yes, same as what you have above. I have no idea what the difference is between the two. The driveshaft part #s also differ; I suspect the bearing size might be different.

That's what I'm thinking. Have heard some reports of people using either, but will report when I get ahold of them both!

Several reviews on Amazon for the "30" are 4x4 tacoma owners who self installed. The q&a section for the "40" has two 2wd customers.
