Discount Tire Direct guy, I don't see the Guardian in black size 17X8.5 6-139.7 -6 on the website, is this size not offered in black? Would the 17X8.5 6-139.7 25 fit on the Tacoma. I was under the impression that we needed the -6 size on the Tacomas? Thanks for the help

Guess i should clarify, I will be lifting 2.5"-3" lift and no new upper control arms for now.

Edit: The Guardian would be hub centric to the Tacoma correct? If these will fit and are hub centric I will be ordering a set this weekend!

The full matte black Guardian is produced in size 17x8.5 with the -6mm offset. Right now we are just not stocking this size but it is available per the manufacturer so we can certainly order a set in for you. The cost per wheel is $125.00 with FREE delivery. Give Pat a call at 1.888.459.4080 ext 51878 and he would be happy to set you up. Just let him know you are a member here so TW receives credit.

The 17x8.5 ET -6 Guardian is hub centric

    A bunch of mods :)
I just snagged a set of the Level 8 Guardians for my FJ in 16 x 8.5 size.

They look sweet IMO. I am running them without caps for now.

I also had them mount up a set of Cooper Discoverer ST Maxx tires in LT285/75R16E.

Looks awesome! I definitely don't like the longer caps that come with the wheels, was debating between the short caps, painting/plastidipping the red sticker on the short caps, or running without caps like you are.

Are you still happy with your Trackers? I have an Indigo Ink 07. Wanting the Trackers or MT Classic IIIs in a 17 inch wheel in black and some 265/70R17 AT Tires. Thought about the Duratracs but now leaning towards the Toyo Open Country AT IIs.

I love my Level 8 Trackers. I get lots of compliments on them from all kinds of people...a hot waitress from Twin Peaks to my 85 year old uncle.
I know you mentioned you wanted Black, but I will say the polished aluminum stay clean by themselves. They have a ultra smooth polish and all the grime/break dust just slides off of them....I have never had such low maintenance wheels. I also really like the Black Guardians.

As far as tires I am very happy with the Duratracs...they really give the truck a beefier tough look, think it all has to due to the very aggressive edge and sidewalls. But I think Toyos are a great looking Tire too. I got 2 rebates...one from Discount Tire and 1 from Good year totalling $160, so you might want to look into what Toyo has to offer, compared with Goodyear

My only other comment is I did choose to go downt to 16"...I like more rubber than wheel and it saved me about $108 total by going with 16" tires and wheels instead of 17"

^^you chose well. They are nice wheels that pop with the dark blue. What is the offset on those?

Thank you Sir. Somedays I think I should have gone black to match the N-Fab bars.....but i am still happy.
I believe they are -6 Offset and 4.51" backspace....Discount Tire took them off their website again. They fit with plenty of room to spare against the caliper.

I appreciate the feedback and the input. I really want to go with that classic look those wheels have. It is between the Trackers and the Mickey Thompson Classic IIIs, and the Trackers seem like more of a sure thing as far as fitting goes. Your truck still seems to have that wider stance that I want to keep. I also want to fill up the wheel well a little more. Sometimes it looks as though my tires are too small for a 3 inch lift.

I have priced both the Duratracs and the Toyos here locally and I can get a better deal on the Toyos - plus I have read some good reviews on them. If money were no object, and I did not have to use my truck as my daily driver so much, I would probably go with the Duratracs just for looks alone. The Toyos just seem like a more logical and reasonable tire for me right now...but I could change my mind again tomorrow.

Still not loving the caps... Looks a bit better with the shorter 35mm but man those things are ugly! I love the wheels but a better cap design needed to sell me.

I did the same thing as I couldn't stand the big, red logo on the cap. I've ran them all 3 ways (factory cap, no cap, plasti-dip'd cap) and much prefer the look of no cap.
