I was given a quote for $600 to do a 'leveling' on my 2017 TRD 4x4 although I plan to check another place.

-I am pulling a boat so I don't want to do a crazy lift just give it the look of a slight lift and allow for some room for a slightly larger all terrain tire. This will allow that right?
Also the leveling will give it a slightly lifted look right? Anyone done this with the prevention of loosing pulling power in mind with too big a tire?

    Thanks!
    Don

If you are pulling a boat you do not want to do a leveling kit. If its level with no load it will squat with the boat. The factory rake is there to compensate for load, so when you hook the boat up the truck will be level.

I just want to level the front and I won't be towing. What's the best way to do that?

put 1/2'' Headstrong front lift spacer on mine and it leveled it pretty good. no vibrations, still rides great. No alignment needed after. $70.

That's what I'm talking about! Was it hard to install?

I put a 2" rough country level on mine. Had it done at a shop (didn't have the equipment) and I want to say it was $180 at Meineken. Buy the level on your own and take it to a shop.

it is just fine. I didnt wanna mess much with my brand new suspension.yea its a basic cost efficient mod. I also added larger tires and rims to complete the look though.

it was not too bad to install, me and a buddy installed it in about 4 hours ish.. need the proper tools, biggest thing is compressing your struts to put in the lift spacer..

So back on topic............'TOWING with lift or leveling and larger tires,..power suck' as primary focus of this thread

If the boat levels the truck what is a minor lift that will allow for no or minimal power suck with larger tires and how large can I go with stock alloy rims?

What size tires are you wanting? If you go larger than a +1, you'll likely need to do some trimming regardless of lift.

I have a Toytec 1/4 spacer (1/2 lift) on a 2nd gen and didn't notice any change except for height. But when I went to 265/70r17 Michelin Ltx from 265/65r17 Nittos TG's I had a noticeable loss in power especially while towing. If you are towing my suggestion would be to keep stock size tires.

@Thunder Fist not so much what size I want but what will work to tow. Current tire is a quality Toyo from factory which is really odd because its fully a city dweller tire put on a FWD.
So just bumping the size a bit to an all terrain will look better.

So am I correct in assuming its more tire size increase that will effect towing rather than a mellow 2" lift?

You can go 265/70/17 without negatively affecting performance and it'll look better. It'll give you an extra 1/2 inch clearance as well.
