So I have re-read this post and have a question. I have techstream loaded and when I go to detect my truck I get a "failure to connect to vim" msg. I'm fairly certain I have followed the instructions that came with my disc and cable, but am getting nowhere fast.

It's techstream vers. 12. Something. I can get the exact number later.
    Anyone got any advice?
    Thanks.

    been awhile
    Try "setup" -> "VIM Select"

I think when using OVtune, i set it to 'open port 2'
The cable I got originally was 'xhorse'

Yeah I don't think I have any other vim option there. I'm gonna uninstall it all and try again tomorrow. This has been the slowest mod lol. What's one more day?

Not sure, I just remember I had an issue where it was set as 'TIS Techstream VIM', not 'OpenPort' or 'XHorse'

Yeah I only have VIM in that drop down menu. I'm going to do some googling and see whats up. I have found several other links, but I seem to be following the instructions and am still stuck. Even after uninstalling and reinstalling.

It seems like I am missing the drivers for the cable i'm guessing.

    Yep
I can't guarantee we can help, but the lack of the cable in that menu 99% sure indicates a problem with the cable drivers not installed properly.

Yeah I appreciate your help. It seems I need to find the MVCI Driver for TOYOTA that works with win10 and 64 bit. My disc didn't have it which appears to be normal. Who knew? Haha.

You should be able to use the older drivers in compatibility mode. I’ve heard of it working.

Google MVCI driver and you should be good!

Thanks for the advice. I'm googling that now. I might end up digging out an old laptop and trying on that if all else fails. It seems from my research that xp or 7 is easier.

Yeah I took my laptop and installed Windows 7 on it. Now techstream works like a champ it's funny to me how different everyone's version is. I don't have these weird token things people pay for and I don't have a menu like that one... Strange.

Love this mod! I think it'll be my first one. Now I need to see if there's a way to program the card to my wife's Prius C too. The fobs appear to be identical.

Just got the truck last night and started reading up on this so have no idea if what I want to do (have one card work for two cars) will fly but we'll see

One card won’t work for two vehicles unfortunately.

Shout out to @hosemonkey, for a taco beer cozy. Glad tokens helped everybody out and @FLdub for keeping it going.
