Thanks, he's finishing up a set of headlights for me. I believe I asked him about tails in the beginning and he told me no. But I'll have to go back and double check!

The issue with taillights, is that they are not glued shut, they are plastic welded shut. Therefore, to open them up, you need to surgically cut them open. It's an intensive process that very few have completed. The only person I know for sure has done it, is @MESO, but he does not do contract work...

Good luck OP! Your best bet may be buying a set of spare tails and trying your hand at cutting them open. Not for the faint of heart.

Thanks. I figured that might be the case but I'm hoping someone has the process down already and is willing to help me out.

Probably cheaper to just buy the 20-21 pro headlights and attempt to sell yours.

People are getting confused, because BTLM's are so rare, that people are assuming you meant BHLM... Kind of shows you the uphill battle you have ahead of you.

HIGHLY doubtful... but fingers crossed for you. Much more likely/hopeful is that they use retro rubber to seal them up, so they can be "easily" split open.

Hey a guy can dream! A close 2nd would be retro rubber to seal them.

I have a set of 20/21 LTD that MESO cut open for me (for essentially the same reason - MGM, and some other sorcery) I have the skills/knife (sonic) to do the same again. I really only do things for myself, but I’d consider cutting a pair open for you if you paid back/forth. I don’t think you can retro-rubber the cuts, except maybe to secure the seal. The cuts aren’t at the clear/black line, but rather where it makes the process easiest and can be hidden from view when installed. This is often in the black a 1/4” - 1/2” in from the edge. Suture back via plastic weld, which is what he did.
