Does this work for Manual Transmission too? My anytime front/back up camera will not revert to the back camera when shifting into reverse if the front camera is switched on.

 

I think @daveeasa changed the way these get ordered now. He'll get you straightened out for sure, he is awesome like that.

This will work with MT as well. It uses the reverse lights to trigger the magic

Thanks for the reminder to clean up my ordering instructions. I just did so for this thread and for my headlight harness thread. Hopefully it is clear now that I want to use square for these moving forward. Other products will be added to square once I catch up from the surge.

I assume you paid via square and if so you should have an order confirmation email. I’m still working on orders from December at this point.

 

The camera harnesses multi-plex the OEM camera input from front or rear camera based on user input (ABC camera switch or Germes steering wheel controls). The Germes unit is particularly fun with parallel parking as it auto swaps between front and rear camera. That sounds like an unfortunate limitation to the ABC design as it would need smarts via relay to detect reverse and override user input if the front camera has been selected.

You may wish to consider the Germes unit. Especially if that switch spot is valuable real estate for you.

 

I just learned to live with it. No biggie, just as long as I can see whats in front of me over the hood.

 

I saw you note on your website about a possibly 3 month lead time for relays. Any chance you would sell the harness kit without a relay? I have some a solid state relay from another design I did, that I want to use.

I have plenty of relays now. That’s no longer a concern.

 

I’d expect 2-3 weeks but I definitely hope to beat that.

Whew, finally I am caught up and a bit ahead. It was a busy few months. If anyone wants one of these, they will ship out next day for at least a few weeks. I'm going to switch gears and get caught up on the backlog of custom stuff I agreed to do about a year ago.

 

Will be placing a order in the next few days, saw I have a running light out so perfect time for install along with the meso total tail kit if I can get one of those aswell

 

I just want to tell you that My wife and I really like this mod. I have had mine since Aug 21 and my wife has had hers since Nov 21. Other than getting the taillight out, the install is easy and the wiring is well done. Thanks again for coming up with this mod and sharing!
