After a couple weeks of use and last night finding a fogged up drivers side headlight after a couple days of rain I removed mine today to put back the stock halogen bulbs. The larger LED fan area must have had some rain drip onto them allowing it to seep into the headlight housings causing moisture and fog to build up inside. The LEDs were very bright and white however I just wasn't totally happy with my perceived usable light. I felt like I wasn't able to see my surrounding as well as the stock halogen bulbs. Maybe it was the color or exact beam pattern but I have felt less confident driving with the LEDS. I did cut small slits in the bulb boots for easier fit. I contacted Lifetime and hopefully I can get some kind of refund. :(

Or if anyone in Tampa Bay wants these to try for themselves just PM me and let me know.

    Damn... that sucks.

You did put the rubber boot back on the light without cutting it right? I could see where "maybe" it could get in that way but I've driven in a bunch of rain since the install with no issues yet.

mini antenna... I'm getting to it! Sheesh!
    Hi guys!
I finally got my lights installed yesterday and have a few comments. First, these things were really a lot more difficult to install than I was expecting, even after reading this thread and thinking that I had the process understood. Actually the passenger side went in ok, but the drivers side was a bitch for some reason.

I couldn't get the 1/4 turn bulb removal to work to get the boot onto the housing, so unfortunately I had to remove the screws holding the alignment plate on, put the boot on then put the plate back on. That made getting the bulb installed and the spring clip behind the plate and around the boot, really tough.

The good news is everything is installed and working. I followed advice here and zip-tied the drivers to the wiring harness so they aren't touching any of the metal frame work. I don't usually run the radio anyway, just my iPhone, but it seems there's no interference.

The bulbs seem to be aimed correctly (I compared one with the stock bulbs and the height and offset seemed right on.

Man are they WHITE and BRIGHT. I'm looking forward to trying them out tonight. I didn't get to drive last night as we had guests over.

I'll report back again after I've had more of a chance to run these and live with them. but so far so good!

I noticed that the boot on mine was never all that snug around the LED light. Some members mentioned really struggling to get the boot to slide and had to use dielectric grease. Mine just pushed in and had some side to side play. I guess I just need it to rain here so I can see on mine.

Mine were tight going over the light housing. Not so tight that I felt I was going to break something but I did use a little grease to make them slide over easier. Since I've had them we have had some really shitty weather here (note the tornado that hit last week). But, I've driven in the rain countless times and washed the truck 3-4 times so far with no issues at all. So as to why the water got into hygiene's light is odd.

got them installed tonight. gotta say, im not impressed. overall the light is pretty nice, comparable to my PIAA Xtreme White's. the install went terribly. the adaptor ring is junky and the 2 screws that hold the plastic piece into it don't hold it tight which allows a lot of wiggle room. theres also a really bad hot spot on the passenger side light only. im gonna play with them a little over the next few days but as of right now, these are not worth $150.

Well after reading all the varied results I thought I should post my experience. I installs mine on Saturday and it was one of the easiest installs I have done next to the center console organizer and antenna swap. The trip, I think, is to remove the 3 prong metal bracket and clip it in place. I did buy some bulb grease for the rubber boot, bit I had no difficulty in that area. Just slide the rubber boot up as far as it goes and them install te bulb. Push firmly to be able to twist lock the bulb back into the metal bracket and the boot squeezes in nicely. Nice light. I am happy. I went to do the dogs and lifetime had sent me the wrong drivers so they 2nd day aired them to me. His was any less steps than hid's which were also pretty easy.

Got Mine the other day. Thanks Henry. What part of Cleveland? I lived there for about 6 years before moving south for the winter err... weather.

About how long do these take to install? Evening project or an all day Saturday project?

In my lack of mechanical skills or maybe it was just my inability to fully read all directions (ohh yeah there aren't any) it took me 2 hours to do, but this was with me screwing it up the first few times and having to figure out the hard way that there was an "easier" way :)

    Just a few LEDs...
Installed my headlights a couple weeks ago. Bought them from AutoAnything. They sent me an email with new products and the LED headlights were one of them. Looked nice so I decided to give them a try.

Nice BRIGHT white light. Low beam cut-off is not as sharp as halogens but I don't really care. I can see where I'm going just fine. Ordered Foglight bulbs from Lifetime LEDs, shipped quickly. Installed easily.

One thing you guys may want to do is to get some small O-Rings for the electrical connection between the bulb and driver. This will do two things:

    1. This will help prevent water from getting in the connector.

    2. This will also help keep the connection tight as the O-Ring will compress and put pressure on the threads so vibration won't cause the connector to unscrew.

I also generously coated the electrical connections with bulb grease just in case.
