Lower left corner of the picture are two W5W wedge bulbs. I don't know where these would go.

So there were two wedges included with the H4's? Are they 168's? 921's?

The side markers are a 12396NA bulb. Do you happen to know if you can just stick a 168 LED in there?

I just ordered the osram equivalent of the ZXE for half the price of the ZXE and some 100 w yellow bulbs for the fogs. All for less than a pair of silverstars on the self locally .

I'm tired of trying to get another setup of lights from Lifetime LED.

    Just a few LEDs...
    Ok....ok......ok......guess what?

MY (plasmaglow) (essentially the same as Lifetime) LED bulbs finally took a shit, both within weeks of each other. Oh well back to the stock halogens for now.

There were great when they were working...........Now they're just cheap ass Chinese made crap... :annoyed::rant::frusty: :deadhorse::rofl:

I might bother to send them back in.

I decided to reinstall a better light. A German light :). Honestly these Led's are years away from being ready. I saw a set of PIAA leds and they looked exactly like the new lifetime ones  except they were 300 dollars

So far mine are still holding up. Should they fail I'll be going back to halogens which leads me to the question: What brands last longer than Silverstars with either equal (ish) or brighter light output?

I switched to the LED's after running Silverstars in my last car and having to replace them (both within a week of each other) every 4-6 months.

I'm going to try Osrams made in Germany. I'll let you know how they hold up. Online guys seem to really like them. They are sold under the Night breaker branding.

I've come to the conclusion that there is absolutely no replacement for factory projector housings and HID bulbs. I'll never drive anything with a reflector housing again.

...these two sentences have me confused. Or did you mean aftermarket projector housings?

I mean vehicles that actually come with factory projector housings, such as the '16 Tacoma and the 4Runner.

    :notsure:

I was always told it's not a good idea to stick HID's in factory halogen project housings. You end up with a bad beam pattern because, again, the pattern from the source is much different.

HID's in reflector housings are terrible.

I put HID's in the projector housings of my 4Runner, and it's perfect. The beam is exactly the same as stock, but ten times brighter. The cut-off is exactly as it should be.

Oh I know they are terrible in bowls. That's why people have the aftermarket projectors. Like I said, I was just always told that HID's in stock housings wouldn't work out well. Obviously that must be wrong.
