    Hello All,
New to the forum and digging it.
Question; I like the looks of a lifted taco. But owning a base model I’m wondering if it’s a lame thing to do? Typically only see lifted off road models in my area. I was thinking just 2”.

How is lifting a base model lame?

Unless you plan to put on 22 inch rims and skinny stretched tires, then that might be lame. But that goes for any truck.

    Other than that, lift away!

    Welcome.

Sure, lift it until your wallet screams for you to stop.

Here’s my wife’s regular cab 4cyl. It’s pretty basic trim but that doesn’t hinder it off-road. It has bilstiens and Dakar leafs to give it about 2 inches of lift. FB5B6CE2-23F6-4581-BDA2-AD69C7DAC58F.jpg

Lifting wont hurt it....but if you put 35" tires on it with 150hp you are going to feel it.

Show me someone who can tell if it's a 4 or 6 with the hood closed, I'll show you a lucky guesser...
The truck shown above is a prime example.
It's your truck, do what makes you happy.

Awesome feedback man thanks for the support !!!

Yea not planning on putting 35’s on it. Did that to an old Wrangler I had and it couldn’t get up a hill.

I am very happy w/ the lift on mine

Just know that if you lift it, you will probably want to run bigger tires
If you run bigger tires, that affects the way the truck "feels"
It will feel slower the bigger tire size you run
I ended up re-gearing mine and it made a huge difference

Here are some videos of some of what I have done to my truck

    Cool thank you.
I’m sticking with stock tires for now since they are relatively new.

Thanks! My wife designed some stuff on it and picked out the other parts, so I’ll pass that on. They are ultra wheels.
