Lift a 4 banger?

Are any of the trucks on this thread 2wd? I've got the bare bones basic no nonsense 2wd 2.4l 1st gen. And I'm loving the look of these slight lifts especially @Taco critter !

This is a great build dude! 5100's at 2.5" in front, 3" in the rear? What wheels and tires are those?

 

Thanks man! I’m at about 22 3/4” in the front, 23 3/4” in the rear center of wheel to fender. I’m an idiot and never got a stock measurement. They are BFG KO2s in 265/70/17 on Method Double Standards 17”.

 

For what it's worth i measured 20.75 in front, and 21.75 in the rear on my stock 2015 dcsb on 16's. I was considering getting 6112's but i think i'll just save the cash and go for 5100's instead!

did you do an AAL? I'm thinking about just replacing my entire leaf spring pack.

 

I did. The HeadStrong aal for 1.5”. I will probably go RXT when I need to.

 

lol, yes? No? Ive probably got the heaviest 4bager in the country considering all the weight that was not spared on this truck and that i swapped it to a 4wd which toyota never made a 4cyl 4wd double cab because it most likely was too heavy from the factory. The only thing that makes this truck drivable is my 5.29 gears lol. I can maintain 70-75 pretty good but takes a min to get up to speed also manually shift gears since mines a 4 speed auto.

Did it myself, if you went to a shop that might attempt it it would be wayy too much lol. It’s not a bad install at all. Plenty of guides here on tw.

 

Did you only change the shocks to billy 5100’s?? Or did you change any other suspension pieces to achieve this lift/look.

 

Yes. 5100s front and rear + new eibach springs, and a 1 inch lift block in the rear

Just lift half of it if you're unsure. Best of both worlds.
