so after christmas i plan on getting the toytec Bilstein Adjustable lift kit with 5100 shocks for 629. do i need to get the new bushings with them? or break lines?

also i am ordering general grabber red letters 285/75/16's with that lift i shouldn't have a problem with these tires correct?

    I have a 2011 tacoma sr5 4 banger

285/75/16's might be a bit much for the 4Banger. You will need to make room up front for them also. I'm going with 265/75/16s with the OME 885s & Dakars I got. I lifted 3" front & rear & brake lines are long enough.

No you do not need bushings or break lines although UCA's will help with allignment issues. If you going with 285/75/16's then you will need to re-gear

Is this the kit your wanting to put on: Thats the one Ive got my eye on. What I'm wondering is: Worth it to go with the front coilovers, or just do the 5100 shocks. I'm looking mostly for ride quality/handling since this is a DD. Going to run 265 tires.

No this is what he is looking at. With just the 5100s and stock coils you'll have to preload the coils and that will give you a stiffer ride.
I went with OME and it rides better than stock. It's also my DD. I use my stock steelies & 245/75/16 Dungflops for commuting and I'll put on my TRDs with 265/75/16s for off roading when I get the tires for them.

I have a 4 banger lifted 3 inches with 255/75/17 tires and I wanna re-gear so bad. The power loss isn't so bad in the city, but on the highway I'm constantly downshifting to 4th gear and it sucks ass.

Also I have the OME complete lift with Light Racing UCA's and it rides better than stock and is quite capable offroad.

ultimate lift kit ( toytec ) ome dakar leaf pack , w/ extended length billies, LR uca's, Pro comp 7089s, KM2's 285 70 17, neoprene seat covers, weather techs, CBI sliders w/kickout, URD ss, cab mount chop, VHT night shade tint>tails,3rd B-light. Debadged. Grillecraft grille, rear diff breather mod. CBI Moab front bumper, warn M8000 winch, HID kragens 7", Hella's micro fogs. retrofit headlights HIDS, LED solutions maps/license! 886 back up light mod,
you will have trim alot, even after you take your mud flaps off, also front bumper trim and cab mount chop, < thats if you plan on actuall wheeling. i actually need to re-gear because of my 285 70 17's, actually do fine wheeling in 4 low, but you will notice a huge loss in power with those tires. I have a 4 banger also.

I'm not worried about power loss its mostly city driving and wheeling, and everything will be ready to regear and change the tires and lift it all at once come January ish

Yes the one you're getting does. The link FIRTH4X4 gave is just 5100s and my coments were directed to him.
Those are build it yourself coil overs. Or are you talking about the real expensive ones?

What gearing? 4.56? What is the cost in re-gearing the diffs on one of these new Tacos?
