Lift compromises

    OK so I've had my Tacoma for about one month and I am considering installing a common lift (The Toytec 5100 coil over + AAL kit). I am hoping to get fairly close to 3" of lift. Here is my question: what compromises might I expect from installing this system? I know the benefits of increased ride height, visibility, and appearance, but what about possible bad points? Toyota spent a lot of money engineering the Tacoma suspension. What will I lose by spending +/- $900 to lift my almost new truck? Ride quality? Reliability? Fuel economy? Real world experience would be great here.

    I think that despite the compromises in fuel economy and maybe reliability, the good looks and the improved capabilities of the truck are worth it, and honestly the fuel economy might not even change at all depending on what tires you go with. If you go 265s, you will not even lose any mileage. If you go 285s, you might lose 2 mpgs. The reliability isnt really an issue if you do it right.
