    If your nut rattles off you may lose the bolt which is why they are on that direction.

    North of the wall, we have road salt and rust keeping fasteners secure after one winter. But feel free to use Loctite or a Nylok nut if you're paranoid about it.

    A rightside-up bolt doesn't guarantee it'll stay in. Ever had hinge screws back out of sunglasses? Even in aviation, fastener orientation is dependent on access.

    Prying metal and tapping it through using a pry bar under the flare of the bolt head is how I get mine out also. Reason it is such a huge pain is I'm willing to bet that the suspension and UCAs are assembled at the factory prior to the body being bolted on. So they don't have to worry about it, so they don't give a damn if we do.
