    I'm new on the site and have been reading a lot of different things, however, most of the advice says to avoid spacer lifts because they compress the springs by whatever spacer size goes in and actually make the ride less desirable and harsher than doing a "proper" lift with shocks and coils.

    I understand from my own research (not lifted yet), that the Bilstein 5100's are made to use your existing coils upfront, so you can maybe save a few bucks by not needing new coils. YMMV.

    There is more advice than you can shake a stick at around here, so as others have posted, take your time and do lots of research.

    I'm saving/planning for a Bilstein 5100 lift in the future based on what I'll be doing with my truck. I don't need to spend too much and right now my truck is fine with the factory setup. just my humble, (very) opinion.
