Any idea what your tires weigh in at? Looked at the Mastercraft website. They only make a 285 for 33" but they don't provide weight specifications. :(

    Workin' on it....
I was down to like 45 miles an hour in a few spots on I90......

Thinking about 4.56 just to get some oomph back and hopefully less hunting in those situations but :notsure:.....I don't want to be at 2800 rpm on the flats either at 70mph.

Must be the MT tranny difference then. My 255 Cooper ST Maxx are rated at exactly 59lbs as well (heavier carcass). But I also have an AT and armor.

I run 4.56 on mine with 255's and armor. 75mph is roughly 2,600-2,700 RPM. Even with the lower end torque it'll still hunt between 4th and 5th up an incline.

Cruise Control is useless on the Tacoma. I haven't used mine for... probably a year and a half. And my truck is just over 2 years old.

    13-14MPGs :)

Ya the auto is like 800 RPM's lower on the highways. Stock at 70 was at 2700 RPM's and now they are about 2400 RPM's. Getting about 16.5 MPG

I had the V6 with the 6MT. My 77lb wheel/tire combo definitely slowed me down. I had 285/75r16s

All the answers, and BS, you seek are in the search bar. Top right.

But these folks are already answering your questions.

I've learned; 3" requires little to no changes in parts other than the actual suspension lift parts to run a 33" tire. Anything above 3" lift requires A LOT more work.
    Good luck

Toooooootally worth it. I've got the tires. Doing the suspension next. Will worry about armor after that.

Oh man, I made that mistake. Bought tires, then suspension, then wanted bigger tires.

Uhhh I don't even know yet. Suspension is kind of overwhelming my sad little non-mechanical brain. Still trying to figure out what I want...

I'm preeeeeetty happy with my tires. Got my 33s and they're basically amazing. I don't foresee myself changing it up, but I never say never!

Oh you're good then! I had 265/70r17s, then upgraded to 285/75r16s. If you've already got 33s, you're good!
