6”? Oh hell no. You better start researching here on lifts before you burn money.

Well when a vehicle is lifted by a means of a drop bracket and/or spacers you are going against the original geometry of the suspension. When lifting a vehicle you should do it right the first time - by changing out the suspension components themselves, the coils and shocks instead of layering spacers (a hunk of metal) in between the suspension.

So in short lifting anything past 3” your truck is gonna ride like ass. Oh and rough country is ass too.

My premise is that any, if not all, 6” lifts offered for Tacoma’s are drop bracket lifts that probably incorporate spacers too. That’s a one way ticket to #AssVille

You’ll be investing some $$$ with a 6 inch lift.

Tons and tons of threads on here about lifts.

If you do plan to go down the route of a drop bracket lift, I would suggest you buy/install a kit that uses a longer coilover assembly in the front instead of a strut spacer (as others have mentioned). I have an RCD lift (4.5" drop-down bracket) for my 2009 which utilizes a longer shock paired with the existing coil and it actually rides smoother than stock. I believe procomp and fabtech also produce kits that have a longer coilover assembly as an option that is included with the entire kit, but it is more expensive than their basic drop bracket kits.

Bilstein 5100’s with OME 888 coils for 3” lift up front

Single or progressive add a leaf in the rear with 5100 rear shocks

And upper control arms to get your alignment into spec. Good “cheap” UCAs are JBA and SPC

Will ride much better than any rough country lift and perform the best on and off road.

    Hope this helps!

They both look like kits that utilize a strut spacer to obtain the 6 inches up front. If you want to retain a decent ride, would suggest one of these kits with a longer coil over assembly instead. You may grow tired of how it rides with a strut spacer setup.
