Hey OP - I know this doesn't answer you questions, but I was recently in the same boat as you. The setup I ended up with was an Icon Stage 4 lift, Icon billet UCAs, and 265/75/16 Duratracs on the stock rims. I went with a slightly smaller tire (roughly a 32x10.5 vs a 33x11.5); I only lost 1/2" of ground clearance and 1" of tread width but I didn't need to cut anything or install spacers/new rims.

majority of people need to cut the body mount to fit the 285.

If you don't wheel maybe not a problem but once you get into off camber stuffing that wheel it will rub.

Thank you for pointing me to them. I think that will make my life easier. I thought I was going to have become a mechanic to figure this all out. Making sure all these different new components work together and integrate into the existing truck without causing premature wear issues, ride or stability issues.

    I'll post what I order.

    Thanks

Oops, You are right @cblow5. We forgot about HS. I got my Bilsteins, 887 springs, SPC UCA's, HS 3 AAL and other misc items from them. Nothing but positive things to say. Fast shipping and competitive pricing. Good knowledgeable people.

I was looking at the nitto ridge grappler but the smallest rim they make them for is 17". My brother is a big time offroader and says he'd rather have more rubber than rim. He said to stick with 16". That's why I was just planning on keeping the the stock rims. He runs the 285/75/16 duratracs on his land crusier and he can go almost anywhere. That's kind of why I wanted that tire. Sounds like I might have an offset issue with stock rims. If need be I can use the spider-trax wheel spacers that @STPJ07 mentioned. Maybe after some cutting and trimming I won't need them. Slowly making progress. Looking forward to finishing the research and planning phase. I'm sure after talking to @HeadStrong Off-Road I'll have a much better idea of what I can and need to do.

    Thanks again.

I already bought the tires. I'm going to try to make my truck fit them. ;)

Not sure if you know of this website, but it pulls all brands for your specified size. Def not a lot of 285/75/17's but this looks like a bigger list than even I would have thought.

I fit 275/70/18s stock only pushed in the wheel well liners and rolled the bumper with a heat gun... have had the tires hit the top one the wheel wells one time but that was my fault lol then got a lift.

Looks like as well as the lift I am going to have to buy a new set of rims. 16x8 0 Offset, which gives me a back space of 4.5. That should eliminate any UCA rubbing and will also keep me in the Goodyear "approved rim width" of 7.5in - 9in. Anyone running these rims?

What kind of lift did you get?

Why does a 17" rim with the same diameter tire as a 16" give you more rear diff clearance? Not questioning you, just curious how that works.

I went to that link. Not sure how the same diameter tire ends up being an inch taller on a different sized rim, but I believe it. Seems like it would be even harder to fit that tire though. You'd basically be running a 34" tire.

So just throwing it out there I have a 2.5 lift in the front on Fox.

    I can't even turn.
This might be from the extended length bringing the wheel out a bit more though.

I'll echo what @Joe23 said. Get the 1.25" spacers. Keep in mind that you might also need to do a cab mount chop to avoid rubbing. I'm going with the 5100s (all around) with 887 coils and Headstrong add-a-leafs when I do my upgrade this summer: https://www.headstrongoffroad.com/store/p401/Coil/Bilstein_5100_Kit_(HS16BK-1).html

...I never said do spacers. Spacers will make it harder lol

My stance is wider and makes it a bitch to fit cause I'm hitting pinch weld

Ah sorry, my mistake. It seems to be a different situation for everyone. A lot of people I've spoken to said that the stock wheels require the spacers, otherwise you're stuck buying new wheels. Either way, I'm trying it this summer and seeing what happens!

That’s some good looking duratrac tread. Are you running 285/75/16? What rims are they on?

I'd get new UCA's. I got mine when I got the new suspension but I procrastinated putting them in. The UCA was contacting the coil frequently when wheeling and occasionally in normal driving. No issues with my LR UCA's after I put them in.

Yes stock because of back spacing. If you're not lifting I believe.
