I was looking at that kit. There's a thread on here basically all about that kit. I just worry that it being a pre load spacer will make the front too stiff. Alot of people are for it but there were a couple that ended up taking it off as well. I saw a video where a shop in California did a 2020 pro with 1" spacer and 1.5" AAL w/ 285's and it looked pretty sweet im just torn between the two sizes.

A spacer sitting on top of the coils is really frowned on here. They all say why are you putting a cheap spacer kit on a $50 K truck. I think a 1/2 spacer to bring it up some. Try the tires and see if it works before the lift. I did a little over 2 inches in the front and a one inch rear block, drives so good. I did add some 265/70/17 Toyo open country at2 SL rated tires on 4runner pro wheels to give it a little poke. Wasn't to crazy about the idea of 285s hurting my power, gas mileage issues, extra stress, calibration issues and maybe a cmc.just wasn't worth it to me. My truck sits higher all the way around than a pro, sits good next to a friend I work with who runs 285s. I was a little shocked at the power loss and he gets 15 mpgs.

The slight power loss and mpg was my downfall of 285's. Plus I've read we can't get the speedo re calibrated so 265/75 keeps me closer to actual speed. I know 285 wouldn't be too far off but enough to bug me, I'm a little weird like that. I dont wanna see 60mph but I'm actually doing 65 haha.

Hypertech has a fix for that so that's not an issue for me. But I think the computer is off on mpg and distance to empty. My speedometer is dead accurate with the 265/70s. IMG_20200410_164208888.jpg

I looked into the hypertech module to fix the issue but the part is list for years 16-18. I forget where I read it but I think I saw something that it doesn't work on the 19's or people were unsure exactly. Guess I've still got homework to do lol

Too many negatives on running 285s for just an inch bigger tire and for slightly better looks. Wasn't worth it to me at all.

First, I agree about spacer lifts being a bad choice. They only thing they have going for them is the price, there are no other pros over full suspension upgrade. They are like installing a cold air intake on a Sentra :) Second, a lift will not fit bigger tires (in the front). You are just changing the position of the suspension at rest, but ultimately the control arm arc of motion has not changed. If they won't fit stock, then they will rub somewhere in the articulation range. That may be never if you don't go off pavement. 285s will most likely require chopping the cab mount. You can fit 255 series tires at 33" without much rubbing. Mine sometimes touch the mud flaps at turn and flex. There are more choices in a 285 series than a 255 though. If I were you I would go with a 255 tire or CMC and 285s and not add the spacers either way.

Do some 265/75s and call it the day. No other issues to deal with. The last thing I would do is cut a new Pro. Put a 1/2 wheel spacer and you will be impressed with the stance.

With the 1"/1.5" lift or forget the whole lift? Any suggestions on a quality brand for the wheel spacers?

I personally would leave it alone, enjoy the ride and get you a nice set of Toyo open country at2 SL rated tires and keep the weight down, enjoy your performance and fuel economy and enjoy the Pro. Rest easy knowing that the speedo is good, no excessive wear or stress on suspension. Toyota put a lot of time into the Pro and when you go to sell it the next buyer will thank you. I think someone with more experience than I will chime in on the wheel spacers. A little poke and some 265s will look a lot more aggressive than what you have with a stock Pro.

Proudad103, I have the Rough Country 1.5” wheel spacers installed. No issues with the spacers, just had to trim a little on the front inner liner/bumper, .5”clearance issue resolved.

I like that look. Are the tire 265/75? Had the falkens on my old dakota and loved em. Amazing in the snow.

Yes, 265/75/16, I wasn’t sure at first, but I like the stance with a little poke...actually, it handles slightly better also.

No lift i assume? Do you have a side pic of them? I was also considering the falkens but kinda leaned towards the dura tracs. I'm just curious how they look on the truck.

No lift, although I did consider the Revtek 427AP, only because of the rubbing, then I started to mess with the front inner liner /bumper and was able to trim off/push back the liner to clear, so I’m passing on the lift, but it probably would look fine too. I love the Falkens, especially the aggressive side profile. I heard Duratracs were noisy anyways.

I recently got the new 2020 TRD PRO about 3 weeks ago, my first mod was adding the 1/2 shims in the front and AAL in the rear. Which have the truck probably a total of 3”s in both ends. I did the whole thing in 9 hrs. Took me awhile to figure out but after i got one side done the opposite side was so much easier. After the lift i went to my local tire shop and had them set me up with 285/75/16 BFG KO2’s. And alignment. Truck runs great. No rubbing on full turn. It was good to go! I think the 2017 and 2020 run the same suspension so you should be good also if you go the same route. I uploaded the parts, some pics of the truck and the picture of the shim above the front shocks. Hope this help!
