In my last post I talked about deciding what to do to my tacoma and I think that other than a few minor mods I think that I am going to add a light bar. I think that mounting the bar behind the grill looks incredible, however I was wondering if it was possible to do this under $500. Also if I was to keep my stock grill and add a light bar to the outside what do yall recomend will give me the most "bang for my buck"?

An added note: Will mounting the bar behind an aftermarket grill significantly reduce its functionality?

You might want to check out the light bar group buy thread.

The 20" bar is around $200. There's also a mount which JLee sells as a part of that group buy as well.

I have both items already and I can tell you this is a good deal.

    Too many to list now.
If you'd like to go with something American made, and with a lifetime warranty, I can get you pretty close to that price point with a Rigid E-series 20" producing 8400 lumens.

Here is what it looks like with a single row 40" LED bar on a N-Fab mount.
I "personally" don't like the behind the grill mounts or in the lower valance (I'm in the minority there) and I will admit that theft might be a concern but I just like how it looks.

2 hellas converted to hid or two of your piaas and a 21 inch bar or 20" that's what I'm doing on mine once the light bar gets here. And I have the same nfab. And it is the perfect amount of room. As for the first took off the nuts that came with them. And bought these weird star/hexagon combo from lowes. They come with their own socket for them. I will try and get some pics today when I get off work.

These are similar to the nuts I bought except mine have a star pattern down the sides. http://

OffroadLEDbars.com might still be having their 20" group buy going on. I jumped on it
