This is what mine looks like on a sunny day with the light off. You can also use a color film.

How did you do the wiring for that switch? The light bar I received has 3 wires (blue, white, and black wire). And these Oem type switches have 4 wires (black, green, and two red wires).

    Thanks!

Connect the green to the battery +side
Connect the red #1 to the relay switch

Connect the red #2 to I think the brown
Wire on the neighboring switch. It's for illuminating the switch with the other dash
Lights, (dimming) I think it's the brown but I can't remember.

Then connect the black wire to a solid ground.

I will see if I can find the correct color for the
Red #2 tomorrow but I believe it is brown
You can check it with a volt meter by turning on the parking lights and then using the dimmer switch to check for voltage drop.

You don't have to use the red #2 if you don't care if the switch illuminates with the dash lights. Hope this helps.

Ok thanks. So I got that black goes to black, and switch illum source to red#2.

How can I find out if it it be the blue or white wire coming off the light bar relay goes to the green and which to red#1?

Your light bar should have come with a wiring diagram and you would have to use it to determine the + and - leads. Where did you get your light bar at? If it is the same as I bought (I linked it in my previous post) then I could tell you which color of wires go where.

    Edit:
Did you buy this one? Different manufacturers use different color wiring.

Ya same light bar from ebay (but with the rocker switch instead of remote). Unfortunately the diagram doesn’t show very much.

I am going to go through my notes after I get off work tomorrow and see if I can help you with which color on the relay switch goes to which color on the switch. I can't remember exactly what I did at the moment.

Also you could bench test it using a battery or battery charger like I did and if it works then you could trace the wiring to find the +&- leads. But I gotta get up for work in 7 hours so I gotta hit the sack now. I'll post later Monday at around 6:00 PM eastern time.

Hey Mike I was unable to find my notes.
All of my wiring is sealed up.
Just follow the instructions that came with the light and hook it up to a battery or charger.

Turn it on and there are only two wires you need to worry about the other one feeds the switches internal light.

Unplug them one at a time and see what happens then you can see which ones do what.

Do you have a volt meter or a 12v testing light? It really is pretty easy.

Does this count as a hood scoop light? That is shown in bright sunlight. It really stands out as it gets dark. Kinda goes along with our moonshine still business. PS The fogs are off getting halos installed.

I don't think he is doing the scoop lights anymore. Something about his supplier upping the price too high
