Light bar

I'm looking at this light bar, but it says it only fits the 96 Tacoma, and I'm pretty sure that 96-2000 had the same mounting, bumper etc. Anyway, what I'm wondering is will it fit my 2004 Tacoma?

It depends on where/how it mounts. Toyota did change things at the front end of the frame rails between the '97 and '98 models. The they changed it again between the '00 and the '01 models.

i personally prefer the look of the defiant light bars myself. i find they give more of a cleaner look, while the nfab bars and procomp bars do look good i just think theyd look better on a truck thats all jacked up. defiants prices are a little high considering what they are but they do look good.

 

mount them on your bumper, and the money you saved can be invested in a higher-end set of lights...just my 2¢

Don't get the n fab style ones. They are not sturdy so when your off road lights are on and you are going down a rough road it looks like a strobe light. Waste of money!!! Find a brush guard or bumper.

IT BOLTS TO THE BUMPER super gay if you ask me but a really good price and i like the looks of it. so i think i might pick one up and find a way to mount it to the frame.

 

Hm. I kinda like the n fab bumpers better. Seems like you get more for your money than a strait piece of tubing with some lihjt tabs on it.

Well yeah, as long as it comes with the 2nd gen too. But I think I'm just gonna put them behing a grillcraft, being it would be around the same price.

 

you might get more metal, but you get a lower quality product
