Paint Gap road, Big Bend NP.

And yeah, there are a ton of extinct volcanoes in BB. As my old professors liked to say, "this park is geologically FUBARd." There are at least 5 different major events that happened there, and they all overlap each other.

Taco Latte 19, is that n-fab bar light mount a tube? was it difficult to install? I have been trying to find one like yours, but only seeing ones for second gen trucks.

I just installed one yesterday on my 2016. Instructions are a bit of a mess but pretty easy.

I have a KC Hilites C-series 30" combo bar in my front bumper and (4) KC Hilites ProSport HID lamps on my "roll" bar, 2x long range (center) and 2x flood.

[IMG]IMG_1785 by Mike M, on Flickr

Objectively the roll bar mounted lamps do nothing but look cool (if the retro look is your thing). I'm sure they'd be useful at low speeds, but anything above 15-20 MPH and they vibrate too much to be useful.

The behind the lower grille bar is useful if I'm way out in the boonies where my buddy lives. There's a lot of deer and he lives in a curvy area so it helps show the edges of the road more than my headlamps. However, that being said, when I upgraded from the OEM halogen head lamp assemblies to the OEM LED head lamp assemblies a lot of the advantages the C-series bar had went away. Yes, it's a ton of light in front of the truck, but the OEM lamps, especially with the high beams on do SO much that it's almost redundant to have it. I can go months without turning it on. I like that I have it, but I don't necessarily use it.

I liked the aesthetics of the off-road bumper with discrete lamps like I had on my 1993 and 2013, but since I'm not going that route, I do like the cleaner look of hiding it behind the grille.

If I were to do it again, I'd probably just do the OEM LEDs and a set of DD fog lamps and call it good.

I’m absolutely amazed at the amount of light the BD LP6 and 9’s put out. Below pic is friends jeep, the yellow are 2 LP6s, the white is a KC gravity pro6 led light bar. I was so impressed I got a set for myself. He has LP 9s on his Jeep now and it’s even more impressive, but no pic of the 9s at night.

I’m running twin 30” Diode Dynamics light bars utilizing the SDHQ twin mount behind my grille- upper amber, lower white. All my lighting is powered via a SwitchPros 9100. Amber is best for dust & inclement weather, white is best in clear conditions. I wanted both, not one or the other.

I love the retro look of the KC PROSPORT hids. I ran 4 with the day lighter smile face covers for a while. The vibration was a pain but fixed when mounted directly to the prinsu bar channel. The light output is amazing. Ended up selling that setup to my cousin, it’s not so aerodynamic on the prinsu lol.
I switched to front runner and now run a 30 inch Baja designs Onx6 behind the same lower grille portion as you. The light output is hands down the brightest I’ve ever had. That’s all I run now because it’s more than enough with the oem LED headlights and the Baja design fog lights.

From everything I’ve been reading your set up would be best flipped around white on top yellow on the bottom. I found my yellow DD fogs blend in and utilize the white on top for awesome visibility in all conditions

I have always heard, It's best to have the Yellow/Amber low to the ground to cut through the fog for better visibility.

The bar I picked up from Napa online. Wasn't the cheapest but it was in stock and quick delivery. $200

The lights in the center are Hella 500 in yellow. 005.750-512

For sure. The outside lights are 250W aircraft landing lights.

You mean the bumper lights and ditch lights? I am very happy with them. To add the cool factor though, I would recommend LP9. I think LP6 are too small for the grill. Just my opinion

I had someone installed it for me and he ordered directly from the manufacturer. He did a fantastic job and u don't think it took him that long (wiredbygreg).

I’ve tried them both ways & prefer the taller top to bottom spread that the lower white + my headlights gives me. As for dust, there’s A LOT of it in AZ and I find that lower to the ground does me little good. The amber shooting into the dust that is high up & further out in front works best for me, plus I’m more visible to oncomers on trail. Not to mention I can simply click either bar up or down a notch to aim either beam higher or lower.
