There's another thread on here about them somewhere....

the climate controls just pop out. Not sure about the bulb. It's rather unique, and mine started working again so I never bothered really trying to find a replacement.

There is only one bulb for the complete environmental panel.
there is a white plactic connector, with the bulb attached, on the back of the unit. The bulb is also white as the refractor's inside are colored.

Really? Mine has a bulb for each control switch....

I know since the same bulb went out on mine, and I switched it with the fan speed one. Both have been working for several months now without replacing any for some reason...

I could of swore there was only one. I took it apart trying to see if I could take some ideas or x-reference parts for my modding the 4x4 switch with leds.

Come to think of it, you're right. They are individual light sockets.
Disregard all that I posted above!

    Ok...here it is....
I pried the face off with a putty knife, same method I've used for other dash bezels...popped right off.
I looked and poked and prodded, undid a half dozen screws trying to get in there.
Then, I see, near the top, two small brown plastic plugs with a slot across them for a screwdriver.
Gently give a quarter turn and there is the lamp in your hand.
It is a really odd little lamp with a base that we couldn't find in the NAPA catalogs so off I go to the dealer and $10 later, an easy fix for the burnt out lamp.
    Thanks for the followups.
There are two lamps in the HVAC control, one for each side.
On mine, the left side was lit, the right, which has the airflow directions, was not and is now fixed.
